Dance Unlimited Policies & Dress Codes

Class Descriptions

DU Policies

  • Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday 3:45-8:00pm.  Doors open 15 minutes before classes begin. For a quicker response to your questions please email us at team@danceu.com.
  • New Students: We offer a free week of classes for you to determine which classes you would like to enroll in and for our instructors to determine proper placement in classes.
  • Existing Students: We offer you one free class each month to try a new genre or explore a new interest. Please let the instructor know you are taking your free class.
  • Enrollment: There is a minimum enrollment for most classes based on the teacher recommendations. Classes with fewer than 5 students may be combined with another class. Should this happen we will inform you in class and via email.
  • Registration:  A $20 registration fee is added at the time of enrollment for each student. Registration may be done online at https://app.mydanceworks.net/studio/Home.aspx
  • Tuition Payments: You will receive a monthly statement by email. Payments are due on or before the 15th of the month. A late fee of $35 will be assessed on the 20th. In addition, a finance charge of 25% APR will be assessed on the unpaid balance. Monthly tuition payments and registration are non-refundable. Tuition is calculated for the entire school year, August–Recital. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, & the length of the month are all factored into the payment schedule. Tuition is not adjusted or prorated for those weeks in which the studio is closed. Make-up classes may be taken at your convenience. Tuition payments made be made via cash, check, MC, Visa and Discover or online.
  • We offer a 10% discount for fall/spring tuition paid in full and a 5% discount for semi-annual payments.
  • NEW Referral program: When you refer your friends to Dance Unlimited, we will give you a special gift. Your referrals are the biggest compliment we can receive and we certainly appreciate them and you!!
    • Refer a friend to Dance Unlimited and YOU AND YOUR FRIEND will receive a $25 Dance Unlimited credit for you to use on anything at DU!
    • New friend being referred must register and pay for a minimum of 2 months of classes for you both to receive your credit.
    • There is no limit on how many referrals  you can receive!
  • Returned Checks: A $30 fee will be assessed for all returned checks.
  • Inclement Weather Policy: If weather conditions are poor, please check the website or call the studio before leaving home. If classes are cancelled, it will be posted by 3:00 pm on our Facebook page and the outgoing message will reflect the closure. You can also sign up for text alerts: Text this @danceu to 81010. Please use your own judgment regarding driving in bad weather. 
  • Dance Wear: We sell all the dance wear we ask your dancer to have for classes and recital. 
  • Make-up Classes: There is no adjustment to tuition due to closure for vacations, holidays, student absences, inclement weather, or the length of the month. To take a makeup class just let the instructor know you are there for a makeup.

Class Dress Code

  • Combo Classes-Comfortable form fitting clothing. Leotard and tights with ballet skirts or tutus are acceptable as well as leggings, bike shorts and form fitting tops. Pink ballet shoes and tan tie tap shoes.
  • Ballet Classes-Pink Tights, Black Leotard, Black Bra or Sports Bra, Pink Ballet Shoes, hair secured in a bun.
  • Ballet for Boys-Black shorts, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes
  • Jazz-form fitting leggings or shorts with sports bra or form fitting tops and jazz shoes. Hair must be up and off the face.
  • Tap-form fitting leggings or shorts with sports bra or form fitting tops. Black tie tap shoes. Hair must be up and off the face.
  • Tap/Jazz-form fitting leggings or shorts with sports bra or form fitting tops. Tan jazz shoes and black tie tap shoes.  Hair must be up and off the face.
  • Lyrical/Contemporary/Modern-form fitting leggings or shorts with sports bra or form fitting tops. Footundeez. Hair must be up and off the face.
  • Hip Hop - comfortable clothes; sweats, shorts, jeans you can move in, tank tops, t-shirts, tennis shoes.
  • Acro Tumbling- Form fitting clothes, shorts, legging, sports bras, tank tops, t-shirts and footundeez. Please no jewelry. Haired secured up in a pony or bun.
  • Competition Team Attire- All black fitted clothing.
  • Absences: You can notify of us of absences by emailing us at team@danceu.com.
  • Important Information: Will be provided via web, email and bulletin board postings.
  • Schedule Changes: Written communication is mandatory for all classes you wish to drop, if we do not have it in writing you will continue to be billed. Class space may be forfeited if a student misses 3 weeks or more of class, unless special arrangements have been made. 
  •  Parent Supervision: Parents are responsible for and expected to supervise all children accompanying them at Dance Unlimited, LLC. Please ensure that you are on time when picking up your children and that they are instructed to stay inside the studio until you arrive.
  •  Release of Liability: Dance Unlimited will not be held responsible for injuries on premises incurred by dancers, parents, siblings and/or anyone accompanying dancers or parents.
  • Lost Items: The staff Dance Unlimited, LLC is not responsible for students’ belongings. Please label all dance wear and dance shoes with the dancer’s name. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced personal items and/or dance attire. The “Lost & Found” box is located near the women's restroom. Unidentified items left unclaimed will periodically be given to a charitable organizations.
  • Recital Photos: We will be emailing and posting our class picture dates as soon as we have them. Pictures are taken in the spring. Class and Individual pictures will be available for purchase through our photographer.
  • Recital: All Dance Unlimited dancers are invited and encouraged to participate in the annual recital. Our recital fee of $55 will be added to your statement in January and will automatically be added to your statement. If you are choosing not to do recital we will need a recital opt out form by December 15. After December 15th the Recital Fee is non-refundable. The fee goes toward the facility rental, security, lighting and clean up. Each family will be given a beautifully bound yearbook/program as our gift to you. Recital tickets will be available for purchase in April/May online. Recital Costumes will be ordered for you dancer and must be paid in full by December 15th in order for a costume to be ordered on time for your dancer. Recital costumes are $65+ tax with ballet costumes being approximately $80+ tax. We will be charging for the entire costume in October, you will then have until December 15th to pay for the costumes.  Once the costume is ordered, it is non-returnable. If your dancer will not be doing recital a recital drop form will be required to remove the costume fee from your account. Anyone is welcome to join our classes through the month of May. If a dancer would like to participate in recital and we are able to get a recital costume from the costume company, you will be asked to fill out a recital costume  add on form, Once the front desk has received that form, your costume will be ordered. Additional items such as shoes and tights may be required at the discretion of the teacher.
