What To Pack for Competition

Pack & Be Organized by having a garment bag and a duffle bag. (How many bags, depends on how many dances).

To Do:
  • Organize costumes 1st of the day to the last of the day.
  • Put all accessory pieces in a gallon size Ziplock bag. Cut a slit in the top of the bag and hang over the hangar.
  • Create a packing list with your dancer of all their costumes and what they need.
  • Have your dancer pack their bag.
  • Double check their bag with them and make sure you have everything-if you do not have something you do not dance..
  • Make your dancer responsible for their dance stuff-they are the dancer.
  • Have your dancer carry their own stuff!!! If they are too little-have them carry something, your purse, food bag, etc..
What Else To Pack:
  • Extra hair stuff: ponies, gel, clips, bobby pins, brush, comb, hair colored ponies, spray bottle
  • Eye makeup remover, face wash, Qtips, cotton balls
  • Nail clippers, cotton balls, nail polish remover
  • Bandaids: ace bandages, ice packs, Advil/Tylenol
  • Tide to go stick, small sewing kit, safety pins, small scissors
  • Extra tights
  • Makeup
  • Jewelry
  • High protein snacks and Water!
